Madeline: Our airplane got to London at 9:30 in the morning here, but it was only 4:30 in the morning for us. We were so tired. We took a train from the airport to Victoria Station, and then we all got in a taxi and came to our hotel. We have so many suitcases and our room is up 40 stairs...there is no lift (elevator). We're getting lots of exercise! We took hot baths in the old fashioned bathtub and then we rested from all we had done. Tonight we took the Tube (subway train) and went on a tour of London and the guy told ghost stories about each place we toured. My favorite places were a huge fancy church called St. Paul's Cathedral, and Old Bailey, a place where prisoners had trials and were executed (some boiled alive!). It rained and rained and we got really wet and cold (but it's 45 degrees here so it's not bad to us). For dinner we walked to a noodle restaurant called Wagamamas. Charlotte ate with chopsticks, it was so funny. Now we're taking more hot baths to warm up.
Molly: Our walking tour tonight was unbelievable. We explored lots of cobblestone streets and gas lamp lit walking ways. St. Paul's Cathedral was really amazing. When it needed renovations they took money from the Westminster Abbey fund and gave it St. Paul's (hence the expression "borrow from Peter to pay Paul"). Many royal marriages & funerals have occured at St. Paul's.

Dear Maddie and Aunt Beth, Aunt Molly and Charlotte,
I hope you have a wonderful time in the places that you are going to. Please bring back a souvenir. It is very boring here without you. I hope that I will see you soon. I love you Maddie, and Aunt Beth and Aunt Molly and Charlotte! Come back soon please. Please report back to us. I miss you!
P.S.
Carson came over today and we made peanut butter cookies. We got a new washer and dryer today too, it was exciting because they came with a big truck and everything. There is a blizzard here today. We are getting a lot of snow. I am going to make snow angels though, so I am glad.
I Love You~
From,
Grace
